Introduced in 1988, reference 16618 represents the full yellow-gold interpretation of the Submariner Date, combining the unmistakable identity of Rolex’s legendary diving watch with the warmth and elegance of precious metal. While retaining the functional architecture that made the Submariner an icon, its luxurious construction created a distinctive balance between professional performance and refined execution. Produced until the late 2000s, the reference occupies an important place within the evolution of the collection, featuring the traditional 40 mm Oyster case, sapphire crystal, and unidirectional rotating bezel.
