Rolex GMT-Master II 'Sprite' 126720VTNR - Jubilee Bracelet - Full Set Unknown to many, Rolex produced a small number, often on special request, of left-handed versions of some of its most iconic models during the 1950s. Among the rarest and most notable are left-handed examples of reference 6542, the very first GMT-Master, seen in both steel and gold. In 2022, Rolex paid tribute to this little-known tradition with the release of the GMT-Master II reference 126720VTNR: the first modern GMT-Master, and indeed the first modern Rolex, designed specifically for the right wrist. As a contemporary model, it features a glossy, scratch-resistant Cerachrom bezel made from Rolex's proprietary ceramic material. For the first time, and exclusive to this 'destro' version, the bezel insert features a striking green and black configuration, nicknamed the 'Sprite' by collectors. To complement the all-new bezel, the GMT hand is rendered in the same vivid shade of green. Crafted from corrosion-resistant 904L stainless steel, also known as Oystersteel, the watch is powered by Rolex's in-house Caliber 3285, a COSC-certified movement equipped with a blue Parachrom hairspring and Paraflex shock absorption system, engineered for outstanding precision and durability. As a true GMT movement, the 3285 allows independent adjustment of the local hour hand and, when used with the 24-hour Cerachrom bezel, enables the tracking of up to three time zones, making it an ideal companion for frequent travelers. The dial design remains faithful to the aesthetic introduced in the 1980s and refined in the 21st century. It features a glossy black finish with applied white gold hour markers, each filled with luminous material. These are paired with the signature Mercedes hands, also luminous, ensuring excellent legibility in low-light conditions. The luminescent material used is Chromalight, Rolex's proprietary blend, which emits a distinctive turquoise glow for enhanced nighttime visibility. The present example, originally sold in 2023, is preserved in excellent condition and is accompanied by the Original Box, warranty card, warranty holder and booklet (no outer box).
