For the first time, the Daytona was equipped with a ceramic bezel, a feature already present across much of Rolex's Professional collection and long anticipated by enthusiasts. Replacing the steel bezel of the previous reference 116520, the 116500LN features Rolex's proprietary Cerachrom insert. This advanced ceramic material provides exceptional resistance to scratches and discolouration, while its glossy finish lends the watch a distinctly modern character, subtly echoing the aesthetic of vintage Daytonas fitted with Bakelite bezels. The model is powered by the calibre 4130, Rolex's in-house chronograph movement, renowned for its reliability, efficiency, and refined construction. Produced until 2023, the reference was available with either a white or black dial.
