In 2018, Rolex reintroduced this legendary color scheme with the GMT-Master II reference 126710BLRO, affectionately nicknamed the 'Pepsi' by collectors. This marked the return of the red and blue bezel in a modern Cerachrom execution, crafted from Rolex's proprietary ceramic material and engineered to be virtually scratch-proof and fade-resistant. The bi-color bezel not only pays homage to the historic aluminum inserts of the past, but also offers enhanced durability and a glossy contemporary finish. Paired exclusively with the Jubilee bracelet at launch, the watch strikes a perfect balance between sportiness and elegance. The case is crafted from Oystersteel, Rolex's highly corrosion-resistant 904L stainless steel and inside, beats the manufacture Caliber 3285, a COSC-certified automatic movement equipped with a blue Parachrom hairspring and Paraflex shock protection. Designed for reliability and performance, the movement delivers a power reserve of approximately 70 hours. Its true GMT functionality allows the local hour hand to be adjusted independently, while the 24-hour bezel makes it possible to read up to three time zones simultaneously. The dial follows the classic GMT-Master II layout developed in the late 20th century and perfected over the years. A glossy black surface serves as the backdrop for applied white gold hour markers, all filled with luminous material. The familiar Mercedes hands further enhance legibility, while Chromalight illumination provides a long-lasting blue glow in low-light conditions.
