Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore Diver 15720ST - Military Green Dial Introduced in 1993, the Royal Oak Offshore marked Audemars Piguet's bold evolution of the classic Royal Oak, designed to emphasize strength, sportiness, and modernity while maintaining the brand's signature craftsmanship. With its oversized case, rubber accents, and vibrant dial variations, the Offshore appealed to collectors seeking a luxury watch with strong presence and personality. The debut model, reference 25721, unveiled at the 1993 Basel Fair, made an immediate impact with its 42 mm case, exposed gasket, and commanding wrist presence, earning it the nickname 'The Beast'. In 2005, the Offshore line, originally focused on chronographs, began shifting toward purpose-built tool watches with the introduction of the Royal Oak Offshore Scuba, a series of boutique-only limited editions. These models retained the 42 mm case but added an internal rotating dive bezel, operated via a crown at 10 o'clock, and offered 300 meters of water resistance. While not part of the mainline collection, they laid the foundation for the first true Offshore diver. That came in 2010 with the launch of the Royal Oak Offshore Diver Ref. 15703ST, the first regular-production AP to meet ISO 6425 standards for professional dive watches. It marked a new chapter in the Offshore family, combining luxury finishing with real underwater capability, and opened the door to future versions in forged carbon, ceramic, and updated calibers. A key evolution arrived in 2021 with the reference 15720ST, which retained the 42 mm case and internal bezel system but introduced the new in-house calibre 4308, replacing the longstanding 3120. The model also featured bolder markers, ceramic screw-down crowns, and a quick-release strap system for added versatility and comfort. It refined the Diver's design while elevating its performance and wearability. This example is presented in a striking military green configuration, with matching rubber strap and dial, and a black and beige internal rotating bezel, a dynamic and sporty combination with refined character. The watch is in very good condition and comes complete with its original full set.
