Encased in a 40mm stainless steel Oyster case, the 16700 maintained the classic proportions and robust construction that defined the GMT-Master. Another notable feature was its transition from tritium lume to Luminova in later models to enhance legibility in low-light conditions. Produced until 1999, the Rolex GMT-Master 16700 remains a highly sought-after reference among collectors.
