The introduction of the ref. 16520, the first self-winding Daytona, captured the public's attention in the late 1980s, becoming an instant hit with its renewed appeal and notable improvements, including a larger 40mm diameter case with crown guards. This Daytona series was moved by the famous Rolex 4030, an elaboration by Rolex of the Zenith ElPrimero movement, one of the best precision chronograph movements in the history of watchmaking. The present Rolex Daytona 16518 is preserved in excellent condition and it was never polished. FItted with a White '6 inverted' dial and the leather bracelet gives versatility to the reference.
