Rolex Submariner 1680 Red Writing mk4 The Rolex Submariner is considered an icon whose design is among the most recognizable in the field of diving watches. The first Rolex Submariner with date display is the ref. 1680, marketed starting from around 1967. The first examples, approximately until 1973, were fitted with a particular "red writing" dial which was gradually replaced by one with entirely white graphics which would equip the model until the end of production in 1979. This example from 1973 is a MK4 1680 with black pallettoni dial, red writing and a faded blue bezel. The watch is preserved in excellent condition.
