Omega introduced its first Speedmaster in 1957, with the reference CK-2915. In early 1960, NASA conducted rigorous tests to select the watch that would accompany astronauts into space. The Speedmaster won this accolade, being the only one able to pass the entire list of required tests. The references continue until 1969, and on 21 July of that year, on the wrist of Neil Armstrong, the legendary watch took flight to the moon, marking an epic chapter in the history of space exploration.
